Ribonomics Inc. received its seed funding from a single corporate partner, Medical & Biological Laboratory, Co. Ltd., a publicly traded Japanese life science company that is the leading manufacturer of autoimmune diagnostics in Japan. In addition to providing a seed investment in the company, MBL and Ribonomics, Inc. began a collaboration in the summer of 2002 whereby the two companies will work to develop clinical diagnostics and research products based on novel targets discovered by Ribonomics, Inc.
